It is hard to describe the saguaro in this area of AZ but if you have ever watched an old western movie you have seen them.  Here are just a few shots of saguaro and some other native plants in the area around Tucson. We did not spend any time at the Saguaro National Park because there was too much to see at the Desert Museum. However, we did stop by and the ranger told us that no one knows why the saguaro grow the arms. I love the last picture of the desert and the mountains!
