Phoenix is, of course, the capital of Arizona. The capitol is a very different building from so many that were patterned after the one in Washington D.C. but it is lovely.

There are many pretty buildings and churches in Phoenix.  This, St. Mary’s Basilica, is one of the oldest. Quite beautiful.
