No, This Isn’t the Lone Pine

We are not sure where the Lone Pine is in this small town in the eastern Sierra Nevadas but this tree was interesting. Just a little piece of Sherwood Forest of Robin Hood fame. Just so you don’t have to look it up like I did, a pedunculate oak tree is an English oak (wow). Okay, so a peduncle is a stalk of tissue. Not sure how that helps. My botany is not good enough.
