This mountain near Tucson is very popular with tourists and locals. We opted to drive up on a weekday and were glad we did. We saw signs saying that there was a quota for vehicles on the road. I got the impression that you would be stopped if the quota had been reached. It has a ski area which didn’t look too impressive but they haven’t had much snow.
We believe these boys were from Mexico and had seen little or no snow.
There were a number of small waterfalls which were frozen at the higher elevations.
Needless to say Bob did not always like the road and he certainly wasn’t going where these guys were.
The rock formations made me sometimes wonder if this area had been visited by whoever was responsible for Stonehinge.
