Took a drive around the area to take pictures of the beautiful Dogwood trees. We have never seen them in this profusion. They were hard to capture in the picture because they are back in the woods but the white against the green is quite breathtaking. Ran across an Egret which Bob’s camera lens has trouble ignoring. We also took a short hike to see the wild Azaleas which look quite different from those we grow in our yards. The wild ones are not really blooming yet – only found this one full. We are sure the 26 mile Wild Azalea Trail must be something in a couple of weeks. The bayou (the locals just say “bye”) was so beautiful full of wild flowers. This house did not look like it could be inhabited (except maybe by the cow peeking around) but it had two nice looking rockers on it so maybe it is. The wisteria, while not as profuse as the Dogwoods or the azaleas, is still quite lovely.
