“Come From Away”

We had to see at least one West End show and we both read ”The Day the World Came to Town” so we wanted to see this musical. Also, our daughter, Jen, and granddaughter, Charlie, had recently seen it in D.C. and loved it.

First we had to slog across town to the Phoenix Theatre. Still navigating without good GPS, but with lots of help from friendly Londoners.

On the way we passed the home of the Horse Guards and a monument to WWII women in the middle of the street

We were five rows from the front of the balcony — not bad.

Trying to figure out a good way home, we passed the largest 5 Guys we have ever seen. Between the great fries and the CC machine which has fountain caffeine-free diet coke, we had to stop and eat.

Tube part way home, but because our local station was still closed, we took another cab.

Then to add misery to all our fun, Bob discovered that the Airbnb keys had gone missing at some point. Only 15 minutes to get a locksmith who took another 30 to get us into our rooms.
