Having been to all 50 states over the years, Bob and I are now trying to add the state capitals. We really liked Carson City. As the “guard” in the capitol told us, you can go to Tahoe early to snow ski, then return to Carson City to water ski in the same day. Sounds pretty cool. The building was actually quite lovely with rooms preserved where both houses of the legislature and the state supreme court originally met beginning in 1871. The personal assistant to the Nevada Secretary of State sat at her desk in an office that opened onto the second floor. She spoke to us as we walked by and then invited us in for a brief visit. She answered many questions. Certainly left us with a feeling the Nevada folks are nice and friendly.
This banner runs completely around the first floor and highlights industy and resources in the state.
