Alabama Hills

This is a fascinating area near Lone Pine, CA. These hills and rock formations are actually the same age as the Sierra Nevadas that rise thousands of feet above them. To read more about this, click here.

Wow, water again!

DSC_5793 DSC_5804 DSC_5812DSC_5749 DSC_5756 We are sitting in the Mobius Arch which you can see below is a pretty good walk up. It is a great photo op so we were glad to get there ahead of the rush. Obviously, we were there with some others and took turns climbing up to take pictures of one another. One rarely gets to see Bob in a picture.

They nicely created steps (you can just see the woman going up to the far left in the picture) up and down to the river since it was pretty steep. This really is an amazing place!

As we were leaving the area we spotted this guy next to the road.
