One of the things we have learned about the damage fire can cause in the mountains is what mother nature can then make of it.   When we had seen these wildflowers on our drive I had commented to Bob about how resilient wildflowers are considering how dainty and fragile they typically look.  These and other types were all along the mountainsides. Although the ones pictured below were not taken in the fire area, we understand that since the fire there are wildflowers that have not been seen in many years coming up on the forest floor.
