Travel Plans

Even though the URL is RVOrrs.com, the title of the blog is “Travels with Marilyn & Bob”. The next few months will emphasize the travels portion.

Almost two years ago we had tickets to Scotland for a month. Not for the haggis, or the bagpipes, or the Loch Ness monster — but for the scenery, people, and a chance to visit the land of our ancestors. Needless to say, Covid 19 killed that plan (we were fortunate and got all our money back:-). Since things seemed to be getting better, we decided to try again. Our son-in-law, Roy, convinced us that the hard part of the trip was the plane flights, so if we were going to do that we should plan a longer trip.

So…

We leave tonight for a week in London, three or four weeks in Scotland. Then to France — Normandy and Paris. Then up the English Channel/North Sea to Brussels, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Finish up we go to Spain to visit Bob’s brother and then to Northern Virginia to visit with Jen, Jeff, Kate, and Charlie. WHEW!

For some crazy reason, we are traveling with two backpacks and two small carry-ons (meds, documents, camera, and other irreplaceable stuff). Not sure if it makes sense to backpack across Europe at our age — Marilyn turns 75 the day we land in London!

We have not been as good as we should be about updating this blog. Hopefully, we will post a couple of times a week for the next three months.

Hope to see all of you soon.

Too much for us old folks?
