After staying a few days in the newer part of town, we decided that Stockholm must be more interesting than crowds of tourists and ritzy, upscale shops. So we headed for the oldest parts of the city for exploring and lunch. The streets were narrower, the buildings older, but the shops were filled with kitsch and tourists. So we ate at a burger place and had another shandy — these things seem to be addictive.
While wandering around, we stumbled on the Church of Saint Clare. Note the gold plated organ. Fanciest one we’ve seen yet. Have to make sure Bob’s sister, Marilyn, stays envious.
