Snow in July?

Even at 9,000 feet plus that would be a big surprise. This is actually from the Cottonwood tree which is very common in this area. At slightly lower elevations the trees seem to be about through doing this but when we climbed we ran into this “shower.” Unfortunately, Bob and I both seem to have some allergy to this tree! Please note that Bob and I did run into snow flurries when we went over the more than 11,000 foot pass on the way to Lake City recently and we are still seeing snow on the higher peaks. So, when we saw this we were not sure at first what it was.
