We left Eagle Nest for Ruidoso in late September. Bob’s dad (Grumpy) was found to have a small tumor(s) in his lower esophagus. Before the doctors finished evaluating and deciding on treatment he had a heart attack. Fortunately, the area of damage to the heart was small and the blockage was small. A stent was placed and he was back home in two days (including a helicopter ride from Ruidoso to Albuquerque). He is doing very well and has begun daily (5 days a week for 5 weeks) radiation treatments and one day a week chemotherapy. So far that is also going well. He is an amazing 90 year old! We hope his treatments will be concluded by early December and he will be past any nasty side effects before the holidays.
