While we were in Red River for the family wedding our granddaughter Kate turned 11.  Like her great-grandfather said, you have never seen anyone more excited about a birthday.  After all, now she is more than two hands worth of fingers old! What started as a children’s party involving all the cousins of that generation (most of whom our girls had never met)

turned into a much bigger party when the groom and his buddies showed up to wish the birthday girl a happy day and other adults wondered in (great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, etc.).
