John o’Groats

Made it to Great Britain’s northeastern tip. Named for the Dutchman, Jan de Groot, who in 1496 (WOW!) received from James IV the ferry franchise to the Orkneys. After a somewhat harrowing trip on single-track roads up the West coast, we were amazed at the number of RVs in the parking lot.
