Hunt’s Tomb

This is the tomb of Arizona’s first governor George W. P. Hunt (he actually served 7 terms – ┬ánot all consecutive). He had the tomb built for his wife after she died in 1931 and was then entombed there himself after he died in 1934. It is on a hill in Papago Park with wonderful views in every direction. ┬áThe zoo is below and we got to see the giraffes coming out at one point.
